One-way car rentals are usually quite expensive, but if you keep your eye out you can sometimes find a reasonable price. And a one-way road trip is a great way to maximize your time seeing the sights.
In April 2021 we booked a one-way car rental from Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ to SLC, UT. We enjoyed the amazing scenery and awesome stops along our route. In Arizona we loved seeing all the cacti along the road, and as we got closer to UT it was amazing to see beautiful rock formations appear as we drove!

They sometimes get a bad rap, but a road trip can be a lot of fun with your family, especially if you plan stops along the way that everyone can enjoy. And a road trip allows you to see lots of places in a relatively short amount of time.
