Bucket List: ALSACE REGION, FRANCE

March 12, 2021 //  by Kim//  Leave a Comment

We had a trip planned to the Alsace Region in France (Colmar and Eguisheim) in April 2020. Obviously that didn’t happen! Luckily we were able to reschedule the trip for this summer (2021), but it looks like that won’t be happening, either. Travel to Europe from the United States still isn’t an option, and even if that changes by summer, things are still pretty uncertain.

Maybe 2022?

From the first pictures I saw of the area I’ve been captivated by it’s charm and beauty. I just want to walk the cobbled streets and admire the colorful homes and buildings. I want to bike with my family from Colmar to Eguisheim through the French Countryside. And I want to explore other small towns in the area.

This trip report from the Flashpacking Family gets me even more excited for our trip and gives me more ideas of what to do and see. A fairy-tale weekend wandering the charming streets of some small French towns, sampling gelato and crepes and other French delicacies, sounds like an ideal trip to me. I can’t wait until we can make this trip a reality!.

Have you been to the Alsace Region in France? I’d love to hear about your trip!

About Kim

I am a wife and mom of three kids. I am also a traveler and a writer. Our family has been traveling together since my husband and I were newlyweds. On our first trip to Hawaii when our oldest daughter was 6 months old we tried to soak it all in because we thought it would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. But with some learning, ingenuity, and flexibility we have made family travel part of our lifestyle.
