Like many of our fellow travelers, we would love to see Petra in Jordan. There is something so compelling about the mystery of ancient architecture that has lasted for thousands of years. They really enjoyed seeing the ancient ruins in Greece and Italy, so I think it would definitely hold our kids’ interest and also be different from anywhere we have visited with them.
I am a wife and mom of three kids. I am also a traveler and a writer. Our family has been traveling together since my husband and I were newlyweds. On our first trip to Hawaii when our oldest daughter was 6 months old we tried to soak it all in because we thought it would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. But with some learning, ingenuity, and flexibility we have made family travel part of our lifestyle. For me, the purpose of all this travel is to foster personal development, gratitude, and joy by experiencing the culture, peoples, and landscapes of the world. I want my family to see that the world is bigger than the little corner where we live.
